WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE SMILING ?

Because they're having a "blast" at the
First Annual Pokono Ramona Alumni Holiday Get-Together,
held last night in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

The atmosphere was a mix of laughter, excitement and anticipation,
while the recollections of summers past - friends, follies and songs -
were eagerly told, over cocktails and snacks.

Know their names ?
(L to R): Joyce Broser, Marsha Pressman, Bruce Beyer and Richard Hofflich.

The group expressed a determination to hold a
Long Island Get-Together and a Spring Reunion.

I would like to remmber all of themes for the teams I was on. I was only on Maroon once, in 1967. I can remember the Spanish Conquistadors (67), Wild Wild West (or was that a fake out)and Circus (camper general). I was a judge in 1973.

Gray Alma Mata 1969
(Tune of Doena Doena)
Many suns have set, many suns have rose
Since we came to you Pokono
Days and nights seem to come together as our devotion to you does grow
When we first inhaled you, all our fears did subside
Longing for a place to grow were answered by your side
Pokono - Pokono we hear you calling, calling us the whole day long. Pokono we hear you calling. Telling us we do belong.

Subtle beauty, sheer contentment we live with every summer day. He who stands alone on a mountain builds close friendships that always stay.
Suddenly we realize Summer '69 is gone. Hopes are passed and lives revived we dedicate our song.

Pokono - Pokono we hear you calling. Calling us the whole day long. Pokono we hear you calling telling us we do belong.

Ronnie, your memory is awesome.

Do you remember the team names for other years as well? That would be a good trivia question.
